If you're looking for a more portable solution, the Nebula Capsule II with Android TV is great, but it's also over twice as expensive as the Prizm. The one feature I didn't notice until I opened the instruction manual was the tiny kickstand. It pops out when you click the button on the front of the projector.
I always thought with LED lamp projectors you have less of a requirement for cooling in the projector, but this challenges that view. Still, the fan is certainly not ‘ultra-quiet’ and it will be noticeable during quiet periods in TV or Film viewing, especially if you’re seeing nearby, which is likely with a projector that is this portable. The Prizm II does exactly what it sets out to do, and not much else. Automatic keystone correction and auto-focus would have been nice to have, but the large size of the Prizm means you probably won't be moving it... While the Prizm II projector has more LEDs than the original Prizm, and displayed images that were brighter, we still felt at times the image could be even brighter, especially when we watched content with our living room lights on. This is one disadvantage of buying a large projector like this, but if you’re looking at the Prizm II, it’s likely you’ve got the perfect shelf or table space already scoped out.

If not, you may be better off looking at one of the best portable projectors instead. Out of the box the Prizm looks the part, with its white plastic exterior to its grey fabric covered top, it is a style that will easily fit in any modern stylish room decor. It’s a refreshing approach than the more common silver or black plastic ugly boxes you see from other makers.

The dual speakers enhance gaming and movie experiences alike, and we actually started using the projector instead of our normal speaker at times – that’s how great the sound was. Its native resolution is 800×480, which is a little disappointing for projectors currently selling today, but considering the price, the 480p screen is ok for the occasional, casual viewing, or for use in a child’s bedroom. Its built-in 5W speaker is perfect for the use with the latter, it’s more than loud enough, and because it is all built-in there is no need for separate speakers or cables to worry about when entertaining the kids. Its internal fan can be just about drowned out by setting the volume to maximum, and it is less obvious the further away you sit from the projector. Once the lamp is up and illuminated you’ll notice the projectors built-in software dashboard cast on to the wall or screen you have set up for it.
My main problem with the Prizm is its throw distance of 1m to 3m range. I actually found this to be between 1.1m and 2.5m, with displays being cast in the size of 36-inches and 80-inches respectively. This is ok for small rooms, but if your room is anything bigger you will have to think carefully where you can place the unit so that it can be sharp and give you a detailed picture. For some weird reason, my iPad shows a smaller picture than my iphone. However the true clincher is the low price tag, so if you’re on the market for a great home projector that doesn’t break the bank, the Anker Prizm II may be the right projector for you. That’s going to be even more of a problem for you if you opt to suspend the Prizm II from the ceiling – which is an option, as you can opt to flip the projected display around to all sorts of angles in the settings menu. On the back of the box you’re getting one HDMI input and one USB port , but since most devices now use HDMI, it’s likely you’re only going to be able to have one thing plugged in at once. We plugged in a PlayStation 4, but if you regularly use a variety of devices or consoles, you’re going to find yourself plugging things out and in quite a bit.
